Just an opinion, but tell me what you think

the vikes released their former first round pick in erasmus james, yes i know he has suffered two knee injuries but if he passed a physical would you take a look at him just for DE depth?? i mean he posted real solid numbers in college that warranted him a first round selection so there is a bright side with the kid but he has yet to show it because he has been banged with injuries ever since. what do you think??

James Cut

PICK THIS KID UP NOW!!

Get this kid healthy and on the field. He could be a force if nursed back to health. I watched him at Wisconsin and he is a sack machine if he stays healthy...great rotation player!

Erasmus James-DL-Vikings May. 23 - 4:56 pm et

Vikings waived/failed physical DE Erasmus James.
James, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2005 draft, hasn't been healthy since his four-sack rookie season. Multiple knee surgeries have likely cost him a good deal of explosiveness. Still, James is only 25 and should land somewhere if he gets healthy. By trading Troy Williamson and cutting James, the Vikings no longer have anything to show for their once-heralded 2005 first round.

Re: James Cut

I would love to see Erasmus James with the Rams. If he can revive his career behind Leonard Little, we may not have to look for a DE at the top of next year's draft class.

At the moment, this next year's projection looks similar to this year's with the more prominent addition of safety. OT (Pace), DE (Little), S (Chavous), WR (Bennett)

Re: James Cut

unfortunately he got traded to the redskins. they withdrew the release papers before they were finalized and instead made the trade the with redskins. the redskins gave up a 7th rounder for him.

Dang. I'd be all over that in a second. They got lucky, hopefully he becomes healthy again.
