Jets/Tebow Coverage: Fan or Media Driven?
I, for one, am already sick of the constant attention the media (ESPN in particular) is giving to the New York Jets and Tim Tebow.
Objectively, this disproportionate coverage is being given to a team that has not been in the Super Bowl for over 40 years and a back-up QB.
So, the question is... is this the media force-feeding the public a "story" that it believes is intriguing, or is it merely a case of giving (the majority of) the people what they want?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

I think it's giving the people what they want. Anytime there is controversy and drama (which the Ryan led Jets have always had), the public eats it up.

I agree with Av enough of the Jets already! ESPN is a joke... but now the NFLN is covering the JETS 24/7. I know they are in a big market but it's too much.
This stuff is all rating generated so I guess the Tebow thing sales.
It's a shame really the NFLN could be doing so much more with camp reports and they are wasting time talking about Tebow and Mark Sanchez until it's nauseating.
Now the NFLN has the AM show and it looks and sounds like First take on ESPN. Two guys arguing over Tebow. Sad!

It is definitely media driven. It is getting so bad that even Mike & Mike and Colin Cowherd are saying stop driving this. Whatever it is, it's bad for the Jets, not us. So, who cares.
