Jimmy Kennedy, Perfectionist

Jimmy Kennedy had one word to describe his performance during his first day of minicamp: “Terrible.”
“To me it was,” he explained. “Coaches are happy to see me run around, but (I’m) adjusting to this altitude and I didn’t get my playbook yet, so there’s a couple of things I’m working on. But overall, to me, it was terrible.”
Such an evaluation would seem to indicate that the newest addition to their stable of first-round picks carries a perfectionist’s streak. It was, after all, only his first day, and no player is immune from enduring a period of adjustment.
“It’s going to take him awhile,” Head Coach Mike Shanahan said. “He really hasn’t been in camp, really doesn’t know our system. So we’ll get a chance to work here a couple of days and a week before we start camp our coaches will all be here.”
The coaches are already encouraging the former St. Louis Rams Rams defensive tackle.
“(Defensive line coach) Bill (Johnson) just told me not to get frustrated,” Kennedy said. “I’m used to one system and I’m ready to make calls that I had in St. Louis. I’m just checking out. It’ll come.”
And for Kennedy, it won’t be a moment too soon.

Set this to music, and it could be JK's theme song.

When I read the title the first word that came to mind was "oxymoron"

That's half the reason I posted it.

I wonder how long it will take before the Broncos realize they made a mistake.

If we were to ever have a joke subforum in the Lounge, this could be there.
