I dont buy any suggestion that this situation had anything to do with head trauma from football. Financial issues and depression are the most likely culprits (as they were with duerson, whose business had gone bust and was behind on child support). Notwithstanding the public image, you never know what goes on inside someones head and behind closed doors. Our heroes are human after all and professional athletes often have significant issues leaving behind the limelight.

He had a great career and i agree he will be in canton someday. I just hope that the players association doesnt use this to help bolster their crappy lawsuit against the nfl.
