Just trade him already
KC continues to handle one of the all time good guys (Green) like crap. Herm is really taking KC to a new all time low.

First of all this has nothing to do with Herm except that fact that he shouldn't have gone publicly about wanting to start Brodie Croyle. In my opinion that gave away alot of bargaining power for KC. Carl Peterson is doing nothing wrong here but hold his own ground. KC will eat up Trent's contract if they have to, they have the money to do it, and Carl knows that MIA is in bad need of a QB. Daunte Culpepper won't be ready to go full bore. MIA is the one at fault here. Cam Cameron and Terry Shea are extremely close to Green and if they wanted to get a deal done they could. During the draft MIA declined a trade of a 6th rd pick and swap 3rds (which I think was 10 positions). The x-factor here is the ATL Falcons. There have been rumors around the league that they might be interested in Green considering all of the crap Vick is gonna be in eventually. If the rumors are true, KC has regained alot of that bargaining power and MIA could up the offer a little bit.
Carl knows Green would be the starting QB in MIA if he's traded. Why not get fair compensation for that? Hell MIA traded a 2nd round pick for WES WELKER!!!Last edited by The Jesus; -05-31-2007 at 08:46 PM.

Re: Just trade him already
All kc has to do is wait past the june 2 deadline because of that 3 mill base salary. You have to feel for Green, doesn't make him any happier. i hope he wins the job in miami, but then again he probably will anyway.

All thats fine, but do you really need to play hard ball, when you have told your vet QB we are going to get younger. Green said he would have no problem to redo his deal and finish up as a back up if no one had interest in him. Herm is the coach he wanted to get younger, now this has to be a distraction for all the players that played with Green. We paid Marshal last year and let him do TV work, why? Because he is a glass act and out of respect. IMO 4,5,6 just let the guy move on and finish up the last two years or so years he's got.

Re: Just trade him already
The situation isn't fair to Green, but the onus is on Miami to get the deal done. I mean we're talking about a deal that will probably involve a fith or sixth round pick here. This shouldn't be such an ordeal.
