Per a league source, the Buffalo Bills wanted to sign Kennedy to a two-year deal. But Kennedy wanted only a one-year deal.
Why? Because he wants to be a free agent in March.
Um, Jim? You're a free agent right now. And the phone ain't ringing. Why not take work that you can get, while you can get it?

There's more to it than meets the eye here. Kennedy's position coach at Buffalo would be one Bill Kollar; the same guy that was his coach for the Rams. It was pretty well known that "Dead" Kennedy didn't exactly take to Kollar's coaching methods as the lack of results seems to attest. Therefore, it just might make some sense that Jimmy the Dead would only want a one year deal as he could opt outta the frozen tundra at the end of the year. And this would, of course, give him his choice of teams that will be just lining up and clamoring for his "services" in '08.

HAHAHA!! It was very difficult to keep a straight face and type at the same time!!
WHAT SAY YE?
