Kevin Kolb traded to Cardinals in exchange for Rodgers-Cromartie & draft pick
There is no deal yet for the Eagles to trade QB Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals, but multiple league sources believe it will occur within the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins appear to be the most likely destination for Broncos QB Kyle Orton, sources said, leaving the Cardinals as the leading suitor for Kolb.
The Kolb trade talks haven’t advanced yet to the stage where his representatives are talking contract with the Cardinals, sources said, but the sides were in contact before the lockout, and Arizona understands what the parameters of a new contract likely would entail. So completing a deal wouldn’t be difficult.
Sources continue to say that CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie could head to Philadelphia in a trade for Kolb. The Eagles had interest in free-agent CB Ike Taylor, but he agreed to terms with the Steelers on Tuesday

Hopefully the Cards have to give up the farm for Kolb and then we just role him over like a over hit Bulger over the years!!!
Re: Kolb-to-Cardinals likely by Friday
I'd be seriously peeved to give up D. R-C for Kolb. You'd think The Cards would've learned their lesson about over-hyped QBs with the Anderson debacle.
Re: Kolb-to-Cardinals likely by Friday
LOL Kolb's value is sooo overrated. He is a great upgrade from Skelton/Anderson though.
Re: Kolb-to-Cardinals likely by Friday
I've read rumors that the deal is just about done and the Eagles will get Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2nd round pick.
If this is true they are WAY overpaying for a guy that has proved nothing in the NFL on a team that makes QBs look good.
Good job Arizona.
Re: Kolb-to-Cardinals likely by Friday
The Cardinals are hoping they catch a little bit of the Matt Schaub magic in Kevin Kolb, but I'm just not sure I see it. That's a lot to give up for a guy with seven starts and a career passer rating of 73.2. Not to mention the tens of millions in guaranteed money he'll command.
Re: Kolb-to-Cardinals likely by Friday
Deal is basically done.
Kevin Kolb will be traded to Arizona in exchange for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second round pick in 2012.
The Cardinals will sign Kolb to a five-year deal worth $63 million total with $20 million in guaranteed money.

Looks like we can exploit that hole in their secondary. I was pretty worried Bradford would have a hard time finding an open receiver but it looks like only half is covered.

I, for one am totally happy with the trade.
What they gained : Kolb who maybe is the answer to there QB problems.
What they Lost : A DB is Cromartie, a starter at 25 yrs old, entering his prime (13 INT's in last 3 years)
1x 2nd round pick which imo are the best value round to get talent and a decent price.
tying up 63.5 million dollars over 5 years in a MAYBE answer ... thats just ridiculous.
So the Eagles and The rest of the NFC WEST win on this trade. Don't get me wrong, he might be the answer but that's a lot to give up if he turns out not to be the answer and if he cant make it work in Arizona, not many teams are gonna want a piece of that contract.
GO RAMS!!!!!
Re: Kolb-to-Cardinals likely by Friday
They had to stick their neck out. Teams just can't win without a QB these days. My guess is that Kolb will be cooked in the desert!

The deal is done, and QB Kevin Kolb is headed to AZ.
As part of the trade from the Eagles, Kolb agreed to a five-year contract extension worth a maximum of $63.5 million with the Cardinals, with $21 million guaranteed, according to a league source.
