Re: Kurt Warner should rot in the Arizona desert

And yet, I have a framed picture of him on my wall and the only Sports Illustrated issues I've ever saved as collectors items have his picture on the cover (the "Who is this guy" and Super Bowl issues).

But you wouldn't root for him if he guided his team into the playoffs. Maybe you should put a picture of Trent Green on your wall.

Is the SB issue dated Feb 7th? Because that's the issue I have as commemoration, and Warner is pictured on the cover as well. Though I must admit, mine is not yet framed. I have yet to properly get a space in my apartment for my Rams area.

I root for the Rams, whoever they might be.

    I rooted for Tony Banks.

    I rooted for Lawrence Phillips.

    I rooted for Dietre Brock.

    I rooted for Charles White.

    I rooted for Jeff Kemp.

    I rooted for Sean Gilbert.

I rooted for every player that wore the horns in Los Angeles, Anaheim or St. Louis since the mid-70s.

But I rooted for them when they were Rams.

After that, I rooted for whoever replaced them.

    But hey, that's just me.

Fair enough. I guess Trent Green is the one exception to your rule. That's cool.

No, he's not an exception at all. I don't, as a rule, root for Trent Green.

Re: Kurt Warner should rot in the Arizona desert

You asked about a specific hypothetical in which the Rams are eliminated and I'm going to root for one of the remaining teams. In that situation, I said I'd root for Trent Green.

I don't root for him during the regular season, though. I don't even really pay attention to how he's doing.

So no, I don't, as a rule, root for Trent Green.

Warner is framed on your wall, but you apparently would not root for him in that hypothetical situation, but you would root for Trent Green. Again, maybe you should put a picture of Trent Green on your wall.

Warner is on my wall because of what he did for the Rams.

What did you think? That I have a Warner picture in a Giant uniform on my wall?

At this point I don't know what to think.

That would be great. My mistake was trying to reconcile you rooting (in a hypothetical situation) for a guy who never got a chance, to not rooting for a guy you like and have on your wall of fame. My bad.

Hey, at least you can root for the man when he plays the Seahawks (assuming they are competitive) and the '9ers (because you should always root against the 'niners, except maybe when they play the Cowboys).

Also, he's got a one year contract. Let him play well enough and he will wind up with Miami or Denver or something.
