    Lance Briggs

Briggs signs a 1 year deal with bears that makes sure the bears cant hit him with the franchise tag next year that means he can leave through free agency next year. If we have enough money what do you guys think.

This year hasn't even started, there is no point in thinking about free agency next year.

No way, we are gonna need to start saving our pennies for when 38's contract comes up.

You think Jeffery Dukes is going to command a lot of money, huh?

I'll take a wait and see approach. I wouldn't trade for him now, and if we did sign him we'd have a lot of the cap sunk into our linebackers. We're going to need to see how the players we've got play before we can be sure what our priorities are going to be in the off-season. We'll also have to look at what other players are available, what the cap is going to be, etc. I wouldn't rule it out, but it's way to early to say.

    lol.
Seriously, does Dukes have a shot to make the roster? We are not great at safety depth, and I've seen him play at Alabama and he's got plenty of potential.
