Martz And Detroit
Watched the Lions/Broncos game tonight on the NFL Network and must admit that I was very surprised at how well the Detroit offense looked. They were sharp and moved the ball down the field in big chunks. Mad Mike may just be able to do something with that team.
On a side note, Jay Cutler was very impressive and rock solid for the Broncos. He played like a seasoned pro. Jake may soon be looking over his shoulder.

According to the " EXPERTS " the Lions are going to be the surprise team from the Black & Blue Division.
Discipline seemed to be the big issue for this team under Mariucci. Martz is big on discipline. With a veteran like Kitna and all the wide receivers they have I won't be surprised to see that team make a marked improvement with Martz teaching the offense.

The big question is though, can the defense keep the Lions in the game or is this another Martz' team that expects to be able to simply outscore the opponent(s)?

Not too sure about the Lion defense, but I wouldn't bet against Martz being able to turn things around on his end. The rest, well that's up to others. Remember, at this point in time, the Lions are Rod Marinelli's team.

I've got to think even a brain-child like Matt Millen won't be silly enough to change Head Coaches after one pre-season game.
