Re: Martz: 'People are determined to keep me out of the league'
He is one of the winningst coaches in the history of the game not to get a second chance as a head coach. The record speaks for itself. He won and he made it exciting. Sure he had problems getting along with management. So what. Ziggy was hardly the greatest personnel man in nfl history. How are the rams doing record wise since martz left? Truly the kind of coach you dont appreciate until he is gone. Shortcomings? Of course. No one is perfect. Anyone who thinks that the GSOT exists without martz is smoking too much hooch.

Re: Martz: 'People are determined to keep me out of the league'
A couple of points....
1. Zygmunt is universally seen as Satan himself. Okay, maybe that's overstating a bit, but you know what I mean. Yet, the archenemy (if you will) of Zygmunt is hated as much, if not more, in some circles. I've always found that odd.
2. Mike Singletary praises Martz as a stand-up guy, but then kicked him to the curb without a second thought."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
