The Boston Globe has confirmed that the Patriots have a trade in place with the Kansas City Chiefs for quarterback Matt Cassel.
At this time, the compensation is not known.

just read on (around the NFL) Yahoo Sports..that the Chiefs gave up a 2nd round pick for Cassel & Vrabel...also they havent signed Cassel to a long term deal at this point.
