Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
I will always enjoy watching Warner have a good or even great game no matter who he's playing. The bottom line though is that my number one allegience is to the RAMS. So as long as the RAMS win the game Warner can have his career game against us.

Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
Make no mistake, in 14 of the Cardinals games, I am cheering for Warner. I like the guy.
But when his Cardinals play the Rams, there is a decision to be made............Warner or Rams. The success of one is in direct opposition of the other. There is no possible way to do both."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
Actually, I root against Warner even when he's not playing the Rams.
Is it because I don't like Warner? No.
Its simple. Arizona is in the Rams' division. If Warner plays well against another team, and the Cardinals win as a result, that makes it harder for the Rams to make the playoffs.
If Warner played for Miami, and he was playing New England, I'd root fot him.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
No, I guess the Cardinals actually signed him as a free agent, so there's one point for you, but the factual content of your statement takes a hit with your 2nd point... there was no way to determine how "good" Warner was when he was cut.... We didn't really get to see him play because of Martz' and the FO's paranoia.
We DO know that he's played well enough to start on two other teams since, though, don't we?

Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
We've been over this ground before. Warner didn't get the chance to play against the teams Bulger played against... we've been floundering ever since Martz and the FO decided to put their egos ahead of the team.

Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
Yes, we have....and to be fair the winning percentage of the teams Warner faced was in fact lower than the win percentage of Bulger's opponents.

Which games are you referencing? Warner's last 8 vs. Bulger's...?Yes, we have....and to be fair the winning percentage of the teams Warner faced was in fact lower than the win percentage of Bulger's opponents.
Strength of opponent's schedule plays a part in the discussion but it's down the list compared to home vs. away, playcalling(balance), predictability and Warner playing with broken bones.
I'm glad Warner left though. Distancing himself with his Rams legacy in tact is much better than going down with the perennial Titanic of the NFL.

Re: Maybe a Fairer poll?
I'm referring to the 2002-2003 games in which they were the main QB.Which games are you referencing? Warner's last 8 vs. Bulger's...?Now you're getting into your opinion. I disagree. However, the fact remains that Bulger's opponents had a higher win % than Warner's.Strength of opponent's schedule plays a part in the discussion but it's down the list compared to home vs. away, playcalling(balance), predictability and Warner playing with broken bones."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
