Michael Irvin...apologizes
ESPN broadcaster Michael Irvin apologized on Monday for his comments last week. Irvin said that Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo's athletic ability must be the result of an African-American heritage.
Irvin said he was joking around.
I am so sick and tired of this guy...with any luck ESPN will can him.
Re: Michael Irvin...apologizes
ESPN canned Limbaugh for a whole lot less.
Re: Michael Irvin...apologizes
Did he apologize for sucking so badly at his job?
Re: Michael Irvin...apologizes
Irvin must have some embarrassing photos of the bosses at ESPN. He just can't get fired. It reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld when George tries his best to get fired from the Yankees, but ends up getting a promotion. Before you know it Irvins gonna be the VP of broadcasting or something.
Re: Michael Irvin...apologizes
Irvin is an arrogant cokeheaded idot. He always takes the side of the mouthy and spoiled atheletes that make the news for all of the wrong reasons. Why?? Because he sees a mirror image of himself in his hayday. This moron has said (and snorted) enough crap to get most people canned. Why do they like and keep this jerk around?????
Re: Michael Irvin...apologizes
Irvin isn't the brightest of people.

That's all it was; an attempt at levity by a guy who thought that he was funny. Today, we examine everything that people say to the nth degree. There are many circles that thought it was funny, and even a complement. It wasn't derogatory unless some think it's offensive to have heritage of the black race.
Was it Jimmy the Greek who was one of the first to be canned for making a joke about ethnic-oriented biases within the races?
I still think Marv Albert is the best sports broadcaster in the business. I turn down Joe Thiesman's voice on TV and listen to Marv. He was arrested for some perversion back in the day. He got over it and moved on.
I didn't see or hear Irvin's comment, but it was said that he apologized. That should be enough. If he's fired from his job, it's no skin off my nose. He doesn't add any value to the show.
