Whew, Mok, are you sure you weren't thinking about B. Belicheat and his cheatin' lousy Patriots when you wrote this? Hey maybe good ole boy Belicheat can get the cell next to The Vickster. Should be good for a few laughs.

I second that nomination. Absolutely unbelievable! What's the big deal? How about the sick, twisted practice of slamming dogs to the ground until dead, electocution and drowning.

When my burgers are the result of cows trained to bite each other to death, then we'll talk.

to be fair to the guy/doll (dont recall who said it and cant be arsed to look back) who brought up the "cows" arguement,i wouldnt take it as saying that what Vick done is ok,i just take it from someone who is vegan and rates all animals as equal....just me throwing a wild dart in the dark,i may be wrong...

also on the point of Vicks upbringing in a bad area....

does being born in the gutter prevent us from leaving it ?

and thats not even bringing up the fact that he was at the time of murdering dogs, the richest player in the richest paid sport in the world, can think of a million other things i could entertain myself with if i had his millions and not one of them includes cruelty to animals!

Well yeah I am no way in even hinting to what Vick did was permissable. But it seems that American's relationships with dogs is fueling the fire. If it was any other animal questions wouldn't be asked.

If those other animals were meticulously tortured and brutally killed for the amusement and pleasure of some sick individuals, there would be plenty of questions.

I feel that his experience can be used for good and the NFL is a good launch pad for awareness and reaching the youth that sees no problem with dog fighting.

I may sound naive but if he is sincere he can make a difference.
I grew up during a war for four years but I'm not going off and shooting everyone in sight because of my 'rough' upbringing. I really don't care how he was brought up, last time I checked, he was 27, not 13. I'm sure he has enough sense in his head to not act like an idiot.
