Question Najeh Daveport signs with Steelers

On Sept. 1st the Steelers traded a conditional draft pick to the Patriots for Patrick Cobb. Now with the signing of Najeh Davenport, Cobb has been released. How and does this affect the conditional draft pick to the Pats ?
Seems like the Steelers jumped the gun on this deal with the Pats.

They're probably nervous to not have a back like Bettis anymore, and they're not sure if Willy can handle so many touches, he's definitely not an up the gut runner like Bettis. Davenport was a smart move imo

The pats thing, idk about that one...

It was likely a very low round pick, so losing it doesn't matter very much. I haven't heard the conditions of that trade, so I don't know much else about it.

Davenport isn't bad, but they already have Staley and Hayes so I don't see the point.

Staley likely isn't going to be able to be used like they'd hoped he would.
