STUPID! Ugh.

I didn't buy him as a quarterback. He's just so stiff, especially when he drops back to pass. Really stiff. He reminds me of Kurt Warner.

I think so, but I'm not really sure.

Niners won't suspend Bryant for drunk-driving arrest
Associated Press
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Receiver Antonio Bryant won't be suspended by the San Francisco ***** after his weekend arrest on charges of reckless and drunken driving.
Although the NFL could issue disciplinary action against Bryant when his case is resolved, coach Mike Nolan said Wednesday he will allow Bryant to keep practicing and playing. The ***** (5-5) are on their first three-game winning streak in four years heading into Sunday's road game against the St. Louis Rams.
"I'll let the judicial process do its deal, because that's the way it should be," Nolan said. "It wasn't something that he did within the building to this team. It's certainly a distraction and it becomes one that affects our football team, but we dealt with that, and hopefully it won't distract us after today."
Bryant was seen driving his orange Lamborghini more than 100 mph on a local freeway Sunday night. The fifth-year pro allegedly showed signs of drunkenness and became verbally combative after being pulled over, with officers forced to use leather restraints to put Bryant in their car.
Nolan addressed the issue when the team reconvened for practice Wednesday, but Bryant didn't immediately make a group apology to his teammates. A team spokesman said Bryant was unavailable for comment shortly after he walked through the *****' locker room deeply engrossed in a conversation on his cell phone.
Bryant leads the ***** with 546 yards receiving on 31 catches in the first season of his four-year, $15 million deal. Until this discouraging arrest, the mercurial Pitt product had been a solid teammate and a dependable contributor as the No. 1 receiver in a much-improved offense.
"Antonio has been a great guy to have in the locker room and on the field, and this is an unfortunate incident," quarterback Alex Smith said. "I don't think it's going to be a distraction."
But Bryant has a history of temperamental behavior, highlighted by his infamous jersey-throwing tantrum directed at Dallas coach Bill Parcells in 2004. He was sent to anger-management counseling by the Cowboys and eventually traded to Cleveland, where he had his first 1,000-yard season last fall.
Earlier this year, Bryant became visibly enraged when Smith failed to get the ball to him in a game against St. Louis. But the receiver has toned down his demonstrative on-field behavior since then.
According to motor vehicle records, Bryant has three speeding tickets in the last two years, not including the weekend incident on U.S. Highway 101. Bryant refused a blood-alcohol test after being pulled over and again at the jail, which could lead to the revocation of his license.
Bryant was booked into the San Mateo County jail early Monday morning and released a few hours later on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 28, according to San Mateo County sheriff's Lt. Lisa Williams.
The NFL's potential discipline against Bryant could range from a small fine to a suspension, depending on "aggravating circumstances" and Bryant's prior history, according to the league policies on substance abuse.BRUUUUUUUUCE

And the plot thickens.Bryant suspended for recent arrest

The San Francisco ***** may have an outside chance at a playoff berth, but those already long odds are about to get even longer.
FOXSports.com has learned that the NFL has hit WR Antonio Bryant with a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy as a result of his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving last month. Bryant will miss the final two games of this season and the first two games of next year. If the Niners make the playoffs, those games will count against the suspension as well.
Bryant will still be allowed to participate in training camp and with the team in the off-season despite the ban.
Bryant was arrested last month on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence and resisting arrest after being pulled over in his Lamborghini doing in excess of 100 mph. According to the Associated Press report, "An officer entering U.S. Highway 101 saw Bryant speed past and tried unsuccessfully to catch him," San Mateo police Capt. Kevin Raffaelli said. He radioed another officer who pulled over Bryant.
Raffaelli also said Bryant showed "signs and symptoms" of being drunk, was uncooperative, combative and verbally abusive and refused to step out of the car.
The officers were forced to use leather restraints to put Bryant in a seated position with his legs straight and his hands cuffed behind his back, Raffaelli said.
Bryant is reportedly scheduled to appear in court next week.
Bryant missed Thursday's practice but at the time the team said he was simply missing due to "personal reasons." It is believed he missed yesterday's practice to deal with this situation and decided to drop his appeal of the four-game ban.
Bryant has 40 catches this year for 733 yards and three scores this year and has been Alex Smith's primary target. He was signed this off-season by the Niners after posting the first 1,000-yard receiving campaign of his career last year with the Browns.
"I hope (in the future) I'm still saying that it was a good decision to bring him here, and that he becomes a longtime 49er," Niners coach Mike Nolan said. "I think he has done a lot of growing up in the last four or five years in the NFL, but obviously we still have some work to do.
"We're not done with Antonio. He's still a part of this football team, and hopefully he gets things in order."
