Re: The one thing Warnerites dread most...
I really hope that's just a rumor.

I didn't buy him as a quarterback. He's just so stiff, especially when he drops back to pass. Really stiff. He reminds me of Kurt Warner.

Re: The one thing Warnerites dread most...
yea, makes you wonder if he was thinking retirement at all,he said he was going to pray to get his answer and the big guy upstairs must have said how can you walk away from that kind of money ? I think it just shows the influence money has on people,ALL people.I think he stays in Arizona but playing one team against the other can't hurt.

AV starting another Warner thread? The one thing Warnerites dread most...

(stir the pot)
As to the San Francisco rumor, it is most likely just a smoke screen by the agent to get AZ to bump up their offer. John Clayton just said that on ESPN, and I am pretty sure I heard earlier that KW said AZ or retirement. Not saying he can't change his mind...This space for rent...

Warner is going to get paid. It would end the Cards shot at winning any time soon.

Re: The one thing Warnerites dread most...
Here is what I found elsewhere. I really wish he would look outside of our division.Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports free-agent QB Kurt Warner (Cardinals) is scheduled to visit with the San Francisco *****, perhaps as early as Monday, March 2, according to multiple sources. Warner's agent, Mark Bartelstein, is reportedly looking for a two-year deal worth $29 million.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: The one thing Warnerites dread most...
Warner as a whiner would be a very bitter pill to swallow, but there is no way he moves his family to the cultural twilight zone that is San Francisco. Like thoey mentioned, this is just a play for leverage.

Re: The one thing Warnerites dread most...
Warner and Bruce together again would be something I'd like to see... BUT NOT ON THE 9ERS!!!! Man, that would be messed up.
I do think it's just for leverage though, try to get the Cards thinking "Oh crap, he's serious," and then making the contract more.
I do think his agent knows what he is doing though, I give him that.

Re: The one thing Warnerites dread most...
Problem with giving the Cardinals a smoke screen is the Bidwell's have the first nickel they ever made. They won't budge off their offer to Warner. It was supposedly between 10 and 11 million while Warner is looking for 14 to 15 million. With Leinart making big money and not starting, and the whiners just a few pieces out from being a contender, don't be shocked if this happens.
