BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Terrell Owens reported to training camp Monday, ending months of speculation about whether the disgruntled All-Pro receiver would hold out because of a contract dispute with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Owens refused to speak to reporters.
The disgruntled star was hoping to meet with coach Andy Reid and team president Joe Banner before joining his teammates, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The dispute has dominated headlines in Philadelphia since the Eagles lost to New England 24-21 in the Super Bowl almost six months ago.
Owens skipped minicamps and, along with agent Drew Rosenhaus, was very vocal about wanting a new contract one season into the seven-year, $48.97 million deal he signed after coming to Philadelphia in March 2004.
The Eagles say they won’t renegotiate the contract.
Owens was a big part of Philadelphia’s offense last season, setting team records with 14 touchdown receptions and seven 100-yard games.
Philadelphia started 13-1, winning nine of the first dozen games by double-digit margins, including five wins by at least 21 points.
Owens, however, broke his leg and severely sprained his right ankle in week 15 against Dallas, an injury that sidelined him until the Super Bowl. He defied doctors’ advice and returned for the title game, catching nine passes for 122 yards.

I hate this phrase. It makes the situation sound like there is a legitimate issue and recognizable complaints from BOTH sides. Had Owens skipped out, there would be a BREACH OF CONTRACT, plain and simple. The only other factor in this is Owen's personal greed. His greed is not a "contract dispute", it's just a character flaw and sure sign of immaturity. The fact that he hides that greed behind his "family needs" makes him a gutless coward, and again is in no way a "contract dispute".a contract dispute with the Philadelphia Eagles"I'm not going to hide my opinions. They're coming to you between 7000-4000 Angstroms for all the world to see. Oh yes, you will be enlightened."
