Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was asked if the team would trade QB Brett Favre and he said no. "I've never been party to any discussions like that," he said. "I don't think so at all. You're talking about a Hall of Fame player. He has to retire a Green Bay Packer." After 17 days on the job, McCarthy has found time to watch just five of the games last season. Based on that sampling, he seems convinced Favre still can play well.

I think that was stupid of that reporter. Why would Green Bay trade Favre? I mean seriously. He was probrably a Bears fan.
