Patriot safety Rodney Harrison out for the year

Torn ACL, MCL, and PCL, I believe it was. The Pats have signed Michael Stone to a one-year deal.

Hating... No, Reviling the Patriots as I do, it's still painful to see a player get hurt like that. Not sorry to see him go or anything, just rather see him dea-.... I mean I feel for the guy. Or something.

    Whatever.

I don't believe in God or Buddha or Zeus, but sometimes I really believe in Karma. Harrison's always been known as a big hitter and good player but I've always felt he's one of the dirtiest guys in the league. The hit on Green was deliberate in my opinion and he's delivered many late hits as well as spearing (not just) Rams receivers when they had gone to the ground and given themselves up. I can't stand the guy and I'm glad he's getting a taste of his own medicine.

I think he's gotten away with way too much borderline stuff because he's on the Patriots and I'm glad he'll have at least a year to think about it. With that bad of an injury and at his age, he may not even come back. I didn't wish it on him and it wasn't a dirty hit, just an accident so to me, this just seems like the universe balancing itself out. Maybe he's being taught a lesson.

There is speculation that, at his age, this kind of injury may be career threatening.

Geez, we got some real cutthroats around here. I'm excited to see the Pats without their All-Pro Safety, but I'd never wish that kind of injury on somebody. With that much damage to his knee, I believe we've seen the end of Harrison's career.

Somewhere... privately... and, perhaps, with a slight tinge of guilt for doing so... Trent Green is smiling.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!
