Players and Owners Focusing on Wrong Issue
I don't get it. The NFL is at an all time high point in popularity. And now, they threaten the whole system because they can't agree on the CBA.
My question is: why are they even discussing the CBA?
Sure, there have been some good players that have come out of this league. John Starks, Ike Austin and others have made it all the way to the NBA after stints in this under-heralded minor league.
But what does that have to do with the NFL?
They should be talking about some sort of labor agreement... one achieved through negotiations with the players as an organized group of some sort... by bargaining in such a collective manner, an agreement could ultimately be reached.
Instead, the players and the owners are arguing about the CBA. I just don't get it!

I'm so proud of my son!

I don't know about the CBA, but from his avatar, it looks like Bernie has lost some weight.
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
