Playoff Pool - With a Real Prize for the Winner
Okay, folks, the Rams are out of it, but let's keep this party going with a:
PLAYOFF POOL
It will work like an NCAA Basketball Tournament pool. You have to pick all the games before the playoffs start. Its a bit tricky, as the match-ups change in subsequent rounds depending on who wins in the earlier rounds. The rule is simple - lowest seed plays the highest seed.
Here's the playoff seedings:
AFC:
1. Indy (bye)
2. Denver (bye)
3. Cincinnati
4. New England
5. Jacksonville
6. Pittsburgh
NFC:
1. Seattle (bye)
2. Chicago (bye)
3. Tampa
4. N.Y. Giants
5. Carolina
6. Washington
The scoring will be 1 point per winner in the Wild Card Round, 2 points in the Divisional Round, 3 for the Championship Game, and 5 for the Super Bowl. You get the points for the winner, not for having the right match-up. In other words, if you pick Indy over Seattle in the Super Bowl, and Indy ends up beating Chicago, you still get the points.
If necessary to avoid a potential tie, we'll use a "pick the score" tiebreaker for the Super Bowl.
Now... for the prize. As a year-end thank you to the Clan, I'm putting up the following prize for the winner:

A mini-ball suitable for autographs or just tossing around in the house or the office. It will be ordered from the Rams' online pro shop and sent directly to the winner (if a fan of another team wins - and they are eligible to play - I'll substitute a comparable item from their team's online pro shop).
Good luck!Last edited by AvengerRam; -01-02-2006 at 01:33 PM.
