Since Seattle now holds the same record as the Rams, 4-2, exactly where do we sit in the standings?
The reason I ask is because Dallas, 3-2, but 1-1 divisional, is listed as # 2 in the NFC East, ahead of the Giants, also 3-2, but undefeated in their division.
The only thing I see giving the cowboys a lead is the PF/PA standings.
If that is the determination, the Rams lead the squawks in the PA/PF battle.
Can someone with the proper knowledge explain this where all can understand?
In the Rams & Seahawks case the head to head gives Seattle the edge over us.
I did know that, but I don't see how a team that is 1-1 in their division is atop a team that is 2-0, as in the case with Dallas and NY.
Here are the Division Title tie-breakers according to the NFL (unless any recent changes have been made):
TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.
Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

Too early to worry about winning the division, but the tie-breakers can still be used to determin who's leading the division during the season, which many of us are interested in, especially for bragging rights.:)Quote:
