Report: Dolphins wide reciever Chambers charged with DWI in N.C.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers was arrested early Saturday and charged with driving while impaired in Charlotte, N.C., the Miami Herald reported on its Web site.
The newspaper reported that according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's crime log, Chambers was arrested at 2:31 a.m. and charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding. He was later released on a $1,750 bond.
The Dolphins declined to comment and neither Chambers nor his agent, Ben Dogra, could be reached for comment, according to the report.

Everytime this happens to an athlete/celebrity I wonder, when money is no object, how hard is it to hire a driver for nights you know you will be out drinking? I mean really of all the crimes these people commit, drinking and driving has to be the stupidest, most avoidable one of all.

I'm with you, I just don't understand it at all. I said it in another thread, common sense isn't always common.

I've heard now that they said he PASSED the breath test when he arrived at the police station after his arrest.
