ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz could face tampering charges for a recent Detroit News article in which he said he would love to see St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk in a Lions uniform. Faulk is sitting out the 2006 season due to injury after recovering from an injured knee. is working as a color analyst for the NFL Network and recently said he would like to play again. He has two years remaining on his contract in St. Louis, but the Rams are unlikely to bring him back in 2007. Mortenson also added that it is likely that Faulk will ask for his release from the Rams.
