Re: Report: Percy Harvin traded to Seahawks
Pro Football Talk (PFT) cites a source that says the Seahawks have promised to give Harvin a new contract, one that will approach, quote, "Calvin Johnson/Larry Fitzgerald money." Insiders say Harvin and his representatives are looking for a contract in the neighborhood of $10 million per year.
the more they pay him the better to help screw them.

Given the amount of chest-thumping by Sherman, I am fairly confident he will not play out the entirety of his rookie contract, and will not accept a deal for less than being amongst the top 3 CBs in money.
Re: Report: Percy Harvin traded to Seahawks
They're going to have the third highest paid receiver in the league on their roster. The Seahawks will have to re-sign Sherman, Browner, Thomas, Chancellor, Wright, Tate all in the next two years. All will command top dollar. Having said that it gives the Seahawks a good two year window.

Absolutely agree.
The Rams are on the upswing, but the ***** and the Seahawks finished ahead of them in 2012 and are making moves that will allow them to stay dangerous. Meanwhile, the Rams are cutting ties with a number of their more known players in order to create cap room.
I'm not saying it's time to Washington Redskin crazy in free agency, but hopefully the Rams are aggressive with that cap room in terms of getting guys in here who can make an impact. They don't have to be the biggest names on the block, but they've got to be effective.
I don't think we can expect to sign the Steve Smiths and Rocky McIntoshs of the world anymore if we want to hang with improving division rivals and become playoff contenders.

Great point and on top of all that, they then will have to deal with signing Wilson who is dirt cheap at the QB position the next few years.
Re: Report: Percy Harvin traded to Seahawks
The best thing I can say about this development - and rather mean-spiritedly because I have several friends whose lives are regularly made miserable by migraines - is that the infamously noisy Seahag nest may well be the worst environment for Harvin to thrive. As I understand it, sound isn't necessarily a trigger for migraines but super-sensitivity to it is a common symptom & makes them worse.
