I'll go ahead and give my opinion on this...

If Harvin stays healthy (he's had a history of migraines), he will bring a lot to the Seahawks offense.

That stated, make no mistake: this is an "endgame" sort of move. There is little doubt that the price was high both in terms of compensation to the Vikings (I'd be shocked if they didn't give the Vikings their first round pick and more) and the contract that Harvin wants (again, I'd be shocked if its not at least $10M/year).

The Rams are going to have to be aggressive to ensure that they keep up with the Niners and Hawks in what is becoming the toughest division in football.

Seahawks win the off-season every year it seems. Of course, Sherman will want a new deal after this year and he's able to re-negotiate. They will soon find themselves pressed against the cap. I agree, it is sort of an endgame move. They need to win soon, before they have to re-tool because all of their successful mid-round picks want to be paid.

I agree that its a win/win, but if Seattle is paying Harvin what I suspect they must be, they are putting a lot of eggs in a single basket. As I said, this is an "endgame" move that is made by a team that feels it is on the cusp. Sometimes that works, and sometimes you end up with the 2011-2012 Philadelphia Eagles. Only time will tell.

I did really liked Percy coming out of college and was excited watching him with Farve. But as AvR pointed out he has this history of intense migraines so effecting him he sought out multiple opinions and took time off. Then he has had at least one injury and I believe more than that. He even considered retiring cause of the migraines. For these reasons and the fact I really like this years WR draft class I am happy we did not trade away pics for him! I just have too many questions about this guy... Now if only the gold diggers will spend a boat load of pics to get Revis it will be a really great day! Would love to see those pics being spent out side of our division!

Didn't Harvin have some hip concerns out of college too? Are those pretty much dismissed as over, or could it become a problem for him down the road? Wonder if that's why the Vikings were reluctant to give him the big contract.
