RG3 takes a huge hit and is headed in for x rays.
I'm watching the skins game. RG3 got drilled while running and trying to keep the play alive. Hit on the shoulder. This game you could tell the skins did not have any running plays for him the first half. IMO it's not possible to play the position like that and not get hurt.

Re: RG3 takes a huge hit and is headed in for x rays.
Agreed. Sooner or later, a big hit is coming from a defender that is going to do damage. The more a running QB takes off, the more chance there is for injury. This is in no way surprising, and RG3 has some mental adjustments to make as well as some changes to the way he tries to extend plays. He needs to learn to slide, and that the sideline is his best friend. If he doesn't, he won't last long. Not with the size and speed of the 2012 NFL defensive players.

Looks like he has a concussion, Griffin had a concussion late in the season at Baylor so that's two concussions in less than a year. Not good.

Guys like Newton and Tebow are big enough to take the pounding from running the football. Guys like Vick and RG3 are not.

NFL will investigate Redskins' reporting of RG3 injury
By Gregg Rosenthal
Robert Griffin III went to the locker room during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons to take concussion tests. So how did the Washington Redskins announce his injury?
They officially said their rookie quarterback was "shaken up" and questionable to return to the game. They never updated his status. That characterization could land the Redskins in hot water.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed to NFL.com and NFL Network that the league is looking into if the Redskins followed league rules that require teams be accurate and timely in reporting injury information.
We also have an issue with how Redskins coach Mike Shanahan characterized Griffin's injury after the game.
"When he really wasn't sure what quarter it was, what score it was, we knew he had a mild concussion, at least according to the doctors," Shanahan said. "(He) feels good right now, a lot better right now. But that was the situation why he didn't go back into the game."
It's time to kill the term "mild concussion." It's only mild if someone else suffers it. Apart from being medically inaccurate, the term downplays the severity of suffering a concussion. It's basically an update of the outdated terms "bell rung" or "shaken up."
Sorry Redskins, but "shaken up" is not a medical condition.

I like when Shannon Sharpe asked if a mild concussion was like being "a little bit pregnant". It's a concussion and this is the first of many if he keeps running like that. He needs to figure out real fast that not only the defenders in the league bigger, faster and stronger than the kids in college they are are a hell of a lot meaner and don't really give a crap if you're sliding.

This kid needs to learn how to slide or run out of bounds. If he doesn't he will have a very short career in the NFL.

Actually it WAS Big 12 wasn't the one that knocked his fashionable socks off a former Big 12 player
