Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
Martz seems to be appreciated for his analyst work at the NFL Network. A recent tweet from Rich Eisen's twitter account said:
"Doing the show with Rod Woodson and Mike Martz. Every time Martz opens his mouth, I feel like I've learned five new things about football."
Just throwing that out there in case anyone finds that interesting.

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
I don't know what to say about Martz. I liked the fact that we won a lot, but that was with far superior talent on the squad.
He accomplished absolutely nothing in San Fran and Detroit.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
there`s no doubt about it Martz knows what he`s talking about when it comes to the playbook and i enjoy watching him...im sure Linehan aswell would impress people tho when it comes to that kind of stuff..just a whole lot more needed when it comes to coaching.

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
Actually he made inept offense good in Detroit and San Fran. He made Shaun Hill and Marc Bulger for that matter.

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
The Rams have gotten significantly worse since Martz left.
The Lions went 0-16 after Martz left but did relatively well offensively with Kitna.
The 9ers got better.
You can blame Martz for the drafts but he didn't have a football oriented GM who was independent, he didn't have a director of pro-personnel to get free agents and he didn't have someone to scout college athletes for the draft. During his time their scouting staff was a paid subscription service.

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
I like Martz, but the new show actually puts me to sleep...they need to do something to spice it up.

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
There is no doubt that Martz is a very creative OC, but this team has nowhere near the talent that the Rams of old did. I think it would be a dissapointment is he were to come back here again, not to mention that drama that comes with him being a part of the staff.

It's easy to say bring back the Mad Scientist when your team has been shutout 2 of 4 games.

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
i dont think the OP`s intention was to start a discussion on if he should come back or not..just that he knows his stuff,he knows what he`s talking about as a pundit..
tho i may be wrong on that..

Re: Rich Eisen on Mike Martz
With that in mind, we couldn't really get that much worse, and Bulger already knows how Martz operates, so why not? You know what they say about hitting rock bottom.....the only way you can go is up. If Shurmur was demoted back to being a QBs coach, as he was in Philly, when Garcia and Feeley were looking studly in McNabb's absence, and Martz back as OC, you never know...we could start to go up. And, then again, I could be wrong.
