Yeh, I'd be interested what banned substance he tested positive for. Its easy to assume its weed, but I can't believe he would be so stupid....Well......

I believe they (Williams and his lawyers) said that it was some sort of medication or some holistic remedy, but they said it wasn't pot. Personally I have a hard time believing that. Seriously, how many times do you have to get busted for substance abuse before you stop?

Ricky will never stop. He's said that. Ricky is a different character than what we as fans are used to. He really hates football. He just knows he's good at it and makes money doing it.

Re: Ricky Williams loses appeal and will be suspended for one year
Ricky should just call it a career. It's fine if he want's to drift in and out of football because of his own irresponsible behavior, but it's unfair and disrespectful to his coaches and teammates. He's looking forward to getting back on the field with Miami in 2007, but his act has got to be wearing thin with the Dolphins and the rest of the NFL.

Well, it's also the Dolphins fault for sticking with him in some form or fashion. Why don't the Dolphins just cut him?

Well he doesnt count against roster space while he is suspended, so i think they might just try and trade him after the suspension. But like anyone is going to take a 30 year old drugged up running back that has played 12 games in the last three years

I've talked to Ricky a few times, and he could be from Sector 9 in the APEX Galaxy, but actually he's a really nice guy.

You got me Tx. Maybe this is the final straw. Putting up with a pattern of team disruptions makes absolutely no sense to me. Like you said, this guy is not going to change. I'll be surprised if he plays for the Dolphins in 2007.
