They certainly have a chance to win their division if the Panthers don't rebound (and soon). Once in the playoffs, anything can happen.
They had the right defensive scheme for Vick that is for damn sure. They made the number one running team look terrible.
First game back in the Superdome with all the hype, media attention, and activities of a Superbowl...I don't care if they were playing the All Madden team, they were going to win that game.
As for the future, yes they have an excellent running game and a good enough defense, but I don't think it'll hold up for long. Just like with the Rams and every other team in the NFL, after 3 games it's tough to say what'll happen, but I predict no playoffs for the Aints.
As one-sided as that game looked and as bad as the Falcons played, I almost got the impression that Atlanta was "under orders" to lose.:)
As far as the Saints being for real? They beat Cleveland in week 1, Green Bay in week 2 and looked impressive last night, but it's still a bit early to say they can keep it up.
I wasn't a believer of the Falcons, and no offense to anyone, but I'm certainly not a believer in the Saints. Until proven otherwise, I honestly don't think either team did that much just yet. It's week 3...
Just want to point out that Roman Harper is a beast...
as impressive as they looked last night, i just want to point out that they beat the browns and the packers in weeks 1 & 2, two 0-3 teams.
Yeah...but look at their division...all the teams have sucked so far!
That's the best point to be made here, I think. Tampa Bay will be doing nothing this year, especially after they lost Simms. Even with him they were pathetic offensively and couldn't contain Vick whom they've been able to handle for a while now. Carolina just doesn't seem like it's got everything together, so despite a lot of preseason hype they need to win me back if they want me to think they're going to be a contender this year. I still expect Atlanta to take the division though, simply because I think over the stretch of the year they'll be more consistent and successful than the Saints. Let's be clear about New Orleans. Not only were their two first wins against poor teams, but they weren't exactly dominant wins either.

As Nick stated, Carolina hasn't shown me anything to date. Atlanta has a good defense, but their running game which has won their games so far obviously has been figured out by the defensive coordinators now, and I have zero faith in Vick to get the job done in the air. Tampa Bay stinks. This division reminds me a lot like the NFC north.
All I know is that this year looks to be exciting, with twist and turns in each division that will be decided in the last two weeks of the season for division titles and wild cards. I LOVE IT!
