They seem to take it on one end of the spectrum where they'll either rely on the FA market or the draft.

Re: Schefter: Raiders willing to trade anyone
Surely that doesn`t include McClain... not saying he`s J-Lau or anything but with him being a 1st rounder, or more important to them in Cokeland; a cheapshot cowardly thug surely he`s there for life.
players i`d look into..
Thomas Howard.
Zach Miller is good but would getting him in with the potential we already have at the TE position be a wise move for the long term? i guess we could always offer them something cheeky like the 7th we got off Baltimore.. ya never know with Al..
whats his face..ya know..the former top CB in the league..i aint gonna attempt spelling it..
maybe Micheal Huff....clutching at straws i know but he`s a player i really liked at Texas...and he`s still young might be worth a trade for if the price is cheap enough.Last edited by Ramblin` Ram; -10-18-2010 at 09:04 AM. Reason: typed Heath Miller when i meant Zach

Re: Schefter: Raiders willing to trade anyone
Do they have any wideouts we could use as insurance?
/Yes, I know Alexander was excellent today. I just don't like gambling on him and Robinson (in particular) staying healthy.

Nnamdi would require too much to get compared to what we have at CB already.
Of course the guy totally cuts the field in half, I'm sure Spags would love to have a guy like Rex Ryan has where you can leave him out there on an "island" and blitz all day long.
I liked Michael Huff at Texas as well, and i wonder if we could get him for a 5th or 6th.
Tyvon Branch is a SS I would kick the tires on as well.
Gee, the more I think about it, the Faiders should be pretty good.
Maybe they should be trading their coaches and owner?

Re: Schefter: Raiders willing to trade anyone
Asomugha stands head and shoulders above anyone else on that roster. Otherwise, Johnny Lee Higgins is a good returner, but we've already got Amendola and Gilyard. I'm not sure who else I'd want. Sure, Huff might be worth a flyer, but would he actually be better than Atogwe, Dahl or Butler? We wouldn't be able to give much if we reckoned he'd be our fourth best safety. Given how much we've complained about the lack of quality talent/depth on our team, I can safely say that at least we're not Oakland!

Re: Schefter: Raiders willing to trade anyone
I wonder what their asking prices are? Like McFadden would be a great pickup for several teams... but will they be able to get him at a good deal?
Offer a 7th round pick for McFadden just for the heck of it and see what happens.
