Seahawks: Add best LB in draft, but LB corps weaker?
I think that Aaron Curry will be a great player. However, the Seahawks have already traded Julian Peterson and might lose Leroy Hill in free agency. If that happens, have they really had a net gain in the LB corps?
I'd say, at least in Curry's rookie year, Curry does not = Peterson + Hill.
Just a random thought.

I have to agree with you. It's difficult for any player to come in and replace a player like that and make the same impact the former players did.
It's going to be fun watching Curry try and stop Jackson.

If they lose Hill, than I would say they did lose more than gain. If not, than does Curry=Peterson? At least for this year the LB core could be weakened, but once Curry develops it could be a lot stronger than it is now (without Hill).

Hill resigned with the Seahawks today. That's going to be quite the squad they have up there in Seattle.

What you may have just heard was a giant sigh of relief from all of us Seahawks fans. That was a huge risk the FO took, but it paid enormous dividends in the end. Our LB corp is under contract for a long, long time.

Well, keeping Hill is a good move for them. Still, I'm glad the Rams don't have to line up against Julian Peterson any more, as he had some of his best days against the Rams.

Are we allowed to reward negative Rep because a Seahawks fan is on our forums?
Just a thought...before I fire away.

Signing hill was a great move. I am very happy. As for Peterson, it will affect the Seahawks for a few years, but he is getting up there in age, and Curry brings the same style of play to the LB crew. It should be fun to watch.
