Shaun Alexander out for weeks

He has a broken bone in his foot, NFL network reporting this.

The Madden cover strikes again.

Seahawks | Alexander could miss 4-6 weeks
Mon, 25 Sep 2006 14:58:58 -0700

Updating previous reports, ESPN's John Clayton reports Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander (foot) may miss four to six weeks of action due to a broken bone in his foot. With the Seahawks having a Bye during Week 5, it is possible he could miss just three games.

This is awesome. Our chances improve a ton now, when we play Seattle.

He crushed it with all the money they paid him. I traded Peyton Manning for this guy in our fantasy league, and the idiot does this to me. I'm melting!!!!

Re: Shaun Alexander out for weeks

fftopic:

Don't feel bad BigRed....I just lost to my 12 year old nephew and he had two players on bye weeks in his lineup. I am having a horrible time with the Hammerheads this year. 0-3 ....at the very bottom of the league.....
I sense that all that respect that I earned last year is slipping away quickly.:\

I have Hasselbeck as my starting QB and he hasn't been helping much.

Re: Shaun Alexander out for weeks

Oh....and let's talk about my other brilliant move. I benched Hasslebeck to start Grossman who had the hot hand. What happens? Hasselbeck goes crazy and Chicago does squat. Over thinking things.

I started Grossman as well, but I did so because (1) I have Trent Green and (2) I didn't feel good about Drew Brees against the Falcons D tonight. Grossman performed about how he was projected to, though. Yahoo projected him to get 15 and he got 13 instead. That being said, I was still happy to have a combined 57 points from Meyshawn, Houshmandzadeh, and McGahee this week.

Re: Shaun Alexander out for weeks

I have 58 points currently with Colten with NO and Atlanta Defense playing tonight (my opponent has no one playing and 46 points). No harm, no foul.

Sorry BRM, but you were smoking some crack to have made that trade. Alexander had the year of his life that he'll never repeat even if injury free, and Manning has proven that no matter what he'll put up good numbers. Please tell me you didn't draft Alexander over LT like everyone else in the world did. I love you long time and feel your pain though.
