Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
They said the next thing he does is request a trade because of the lack of interest the Browns are showing in re-signing him.
Should we trade for him? What do you think the asking price is? SJAX is clearly slowing down. I'd do it if it was cheap, other than that I'd pass.

Re: Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
Hillis may be a beast physically, but ive never been sold on him being a super star back. his numbers from last year are good, but not that good. i rather use a 2nd round or 1st round on a back. if somehow possible we could land richardson and floyd in the 1st 2 rounds id be happy. but, i dont think we need a new rb yet, and hillis would not be the answer what so ever. we got jackson who may only have a couple years left in him, and caddy is still a good backup and can fill in at times. basically no, i dont want hillis, and with our O-line, he'd not be able to do anything.

I don't think we should trade for him either unless its a 5th round pick. I just wanted to see where some people stand on this topic.

Re: Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
a 5th might be doable, but i still dont see it, ive never been sold on him what so ever. but with how our drafties have panned out in rounds 3-7 the last many years, a 5th for him would give us a viable back up/change of pace back/short yardage strong back that would be with us for many years. so i guess yea, for a 5th, id definalty take hillis to be a small cornerstone for us for many years. and plus, the guy is a beast pulling fire trucks and what not lol.

Re: Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
I say no. He had one decent year. When he was with Denver he was a relative non-factor. This year he is not off to a great start by any means. He is averaging 3.6 ypc. But that's just me.

Re: Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
i think it would of been better if you asked: should we try and trade a late round draft pick for Hillis. like a 5th or later. if that were the case id of said yes.

Re: Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
I would LOVE to see Hillis become a Ram ... provided the price were not to steep. I really like that guy. He did lose 20 lbs. recently in his battle w/ strep. Perhaps thats why he's underperforming so far this year. That's no knock on Jax either ... just another threat added to the mix. Always seems to play w/ a chip on his shoulder ... in a good way. Highly motivated (last year) and thats something this team needs desperately.
MSW and Norwood ....
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

Re: Should we trade for Peyton Hillis?
Trading a 5th for Hillis mid-season is a pipe dream. The Browns would never accept it, as they have no reason to trade Hillis when he's one of their few "proven" offensive weapons. Just because Hillis may request a trade doesn't mean he's going to get it.
