Sources: Falcons' Hall asked to be traded
Sources: Falcons' Hall asked to be traded

Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall asked the franchise to trade him last week, according to two sources. The Falcons informed Hall that his request will not be immediately granted.
"He's going to play out the season and see what happens," said a source close to Hall. "He's not happy, but he'll calm down and see how things are … I would expect some teams will be asking about him, but the Falcons said they won't trade him."
Both sources said Hall's antics during a loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3 were a product of frustration with losing and from his dissatisfaction with how the team has handled numerous issues. That includes the treatment of quarterback and close friend Michael Vick – suspended by the league and asked to repay the Falcons $20 million in signing bonuses in relation to his guilty plea on federal dogfighting charges.
Hall was fined $100,000 after being flagged three times for 67 yards on the game-deciding drive and then arguing with Petrino against the Panthers. In addition, Hall was benched during the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Houston Texasn.
Asked if Hall and coach Bobby Petrino were getting along, one of the sources said, "Let's just say, they'll have some time to figure it out."

Hall is considered one of the top players on the Falcons roster, particularly after the loss of Vick. Hall, who has two years remaining on his contract, was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
During the offseason, Hall said he wanted to wait until free agency before signing a new contract.

I'd like it if the Rams chased him.
Re: Sources: Falcons' Hall asked to be traded
Hall has a ton of potential, why the heck not? Brown can't play too much longer without losing a step.
We've GOT to do something.

To get TALENT you have to give up TALENT.
Pisa isn't playing great, Draft should be starting.
Hall isn't playing amazing but is having a hard time, and is feuding with the coaching staff.
Maybe something like Pisa and a pick for Hall.
Or maybe Pisa and Brown for Hall and a pick?

This isn't Madden 08, the Falcons aren't giving up Hall & a pick for an always injured LB and a 30 year old CB.

You think? Its fun trying to be optimistic because anymore there isn't anything to be optimistic about.
Re: Sources: Falcons' Hall asked to be traded
I see alot of references on here to how easy it's supposed to be to trade bad players in Madden, but I actually find it rather difficult. I was stuck with Jimmy Kennedy for longer than I like to think.
Re: Sources: Falcons' Hall asked to be traded
I'd be glad to have DeAngelo Hall on the team. It'd drive the announcers nuts trying to make out whether it was Hill, Hall, or J. Hall on the tackle. And who is that returning the kick? Is it De. Hall or Da. Hall?
Re: Sources: Falcons' Hall asked to be traded
We should definitely try to acquire this guy, regardless. He has a lot of talent, and for once is a young player. We need corners desperately, Fakhir Brown sure as hell isn't the answer, that much I can assure you.

Optomistic? I don't see how throwing out names that the Falcons will never trade Hall for is optomistic, it's unrealistic.

Dante Hall is extremely overrated, runs his mouth and is a distraction. I don't want him. He consistently gets burned and as we saw last game against the Panthers he has to tackle a WR who clearly burns him to avoid embarrassment.
No thanks.

Hall is a talented but typically overrated corner who apparently has significant maturity problems to boot. No thanks.

I'm not so sure he's not worth a shot if the deal is right.
See Randy Moss and T.O..

But from a talent perspective, I don't think he's on either of their levels. Hall has a very recognizable name but hasn't looked like a superstar corner any time I've ever watched him.
