With half the 2012 season finished, Sporting News' network of NFL correspondents asked 103 players from 27 teams everything you want to know about this year in our annual midseason players poll.

As always in our midseason poll, players were not allowed to name their teammates or head coach for any of their answers.

Who is the dirtiest player in the league?

Lions DT Ndamukong Suh — 32

Dolphins G Richie Incognito — 19

Rams CB Cortland Finnegan — 14

Steelers LB James Harrison — 6

Titans OT David Stewart — 3

Eagles DE Jason Babin — 2

Steelers S Ryan Mundy — 2

"Ndamukong Suh. I mean, the step-on and the choke and the kick and the arm bar. Enough said, right?" —NFC defensive player

"Suh. He hasn't done anything crazy (this year). The type of hits he puts on quarterbacks, the way he finishes guys—some of them are legal, but a lot of them I'd say are over the top." —NFC defensive player

"Richie Incognito. I've seen a couple of plays on a D-lineman where (Incognito) is trying to roll up his ankle while he's trying to get him off him. Crap like that is not needed in this game." —NFC defensive player

"Cortland Finnegan. That guy will grab you everywhere … in the facemask, everything. He's just nasty." —NFC offensive player

It seems like an interesting coincidence to me that the top three are, in reverse order, a current Ram, a former Ram, and a guy more than a few Rams fans would have liked to have at the time he came out.

I think things turned out well for the Rams on the dirty player front. Suh and Incognito are "bad" dirty and their actions hurt their teams, Finnegan is "good" dirty and his actions have helped his team.:D

Cortland will see that list and think. damn,i better step up my game! :)

i think it is right tho. the top 2 do stuff that could end careers..and certainly in the case of Suh actually paralyse somebody,especially QB`s.

i`ve never seen Cortland do anything that could end someones career.

I miss Incognito....
