A summary of NFL news (to save you the trouble of searching the Net)

Here is a summary of recent NFL news:
  • All of the Patriots' moves, even those involving the acquisition of players who have never stayed healthy, been malcontents, or are older than dirt, are pure genius.
  • Brett Favre just wants to win. He doesn't want to practice anymore, mind you, but he just wants to win.
  • Terrell Owens has nothing but bad things to say about Bill Parcells, but he's a really a good guy who is going to be a positive influence on the Cowboys this year.
  • Michael Vick really can run an underground dog fighting ring and is fast becoming the next Pacman Jones not to mention that he's really progressing as a dropback passer we hope because, man, he's really making us look silly for giving him so much attention over the years.
  • The Cardinals are an up and coming team that will challenge for the NFC West title (this story is environmentally friendly as it has been repeatedly recycled).
  • No Bengal has been arrested in the past month.
  • The Lions signed 18 undrafted free agents. All of them are WRs.
  • Only two players showed up for the Bears' mini-camp. The rest are holding out for new deals. The two who showed up, Rex Grossman and Devin Hester, spent camp playing catch. Grossman overthrew Hester 6 out of every 10 throws.
  • Washington is trying to trade for all of the Bears' holdouts.
  • Chris Berman has predicted a San Francisco vs. New England Super Bowl, with (in unprecedented fashion) both teams emerging as champion.

I could be wrong but I always thought that Berman was a Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan.

Therefore,

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New England Patriots in the SUPERBOWL?

Yup, a Bengal got busted for being stupid. How fitting that the mascot wears stripes.
