    Tarvaris Jackson vs....

Hey everyone....I'm from the Vikings F2FA I came on here a loooong while back to talk a little bit about the Vikes playing your Rams at the end of the '06 season. Well I'm back with a question....

First of all, congrats on the hiring of Spagz.

Second....I am having a bit of a debate over on PP.O about Tarvaris Jackson.

One of our posters made the comment that Tarvaris could beat out these following quarterbacks in an open competition for the starting job next year:

    Mark Bulger
    Jon Kitna
    Matt Hasselbeck
    Jeff Garcia

Does anyone on this board actually believe that?

I disagree with him WHOLEHEARTEDLY (in fact, I think Tarvaris is pretty poor)....and I need the input of someone that doesn't have purple tinted glasses.

If Bulger had the pass protection/running game that Jackson has, he'd be much more successful than Tavaris. To prove that all you need to do is compare how Gus Frerrotte did with the Rams in 2007 (58.3 passer rating) vs. how he did with the Vikings in 2008 (73.7 passer rating).
