Thnx Giving Day Football Games

I dont know about the rest of you out there but i am sooo tired of seeing Dallas and the Lions play on Thnx giving day...I think that there should be new rules for this, yes it's a football tradition but only for those two teams ya get me, here's my take---who ever wins gets to come back and represent Thanx giving day the next year, this way there would be a new bragging rite to winning on that day and they could come up with a trophy of some kind like Madden's 'turdukin' thing. Maybe each conference should afc/nfc should host a game each so each one can have a team with the bragin' rights....here's to a new Thnx giving day regime and bragin' rights to the trophy....the Dykkenns59 ... how about a poll on this huh....

Amen to that. They did try something a litte different last year by allowing the NFL Network to show the Chiefs-Broncs game on Thanksgiving, so we had 3 games last year.
This is not the first time I've heard complaints about the Cowboys and Lions always playing. I do like your idea of having the loser "eliminated" and the winner will get the next Thanksgiving game. I'd start off with 6 random teams (they are doing 3 games again this year, right?) and just let it go from there.

you might be on to something, I would love to see the rams play on Thanksgiving one of these years and that would give the whole country a chance to see some different teams.

Re: Thnx Giving Day Football Games

Well, if it about traditions and ratings, the Lions traditionally lose and I doubt the ratings would change much as everybody watches the only games on.

Maybe, as best as can be scheduled, the previous year's play-off teams can square off in rematches?

I agree. What could be better than a Thanksgiving feast and a Nationally televised RAMS game on Turkey day? The only down side would be that I'd have to go light on the turkey. Wouldn't want to fall asleep during the game.

Re: Thnx Giving Day Football Games

Dallas played on T-giving and Xmas last year. I like the idea.

Out of the three games, America votes on who was the weakest team. The weakest link gets voted off of Thanksgiving island. It is interactive and produces a bit of a gladiator atmosphere.
