Agent says Titans likely to re-sign Carter, Miller: Titans defensive tackle Kevin Carter and right tackle Fred Miller are scheduled to account for a combined $23.29 million salary cap hit.
It's long been presumed Carter ($13.97 million) will accept a significant pay reduction and Miller ($9.32 million) will be cut because of the finances.
But St. Louis-based agent Harold Lewis, who represents both players, talked with extreme optimism this week. He said he believes deals can be struck that would allow both players to retire as Titans four or five years from now.
''We'll get together before the combine,'' he said. ''There is no doubt in my mind, I am totally confident about both … It's very easy to work out. We'll get together and have it done. We always do.''
