Trent Richardson knee cause for concern?
Trent Richardson to Meet Dr. James Andrews

As if the impending missed preseason game was not a cause for concern with some, Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is now being linked to the three most troubling words in sports medicine: Dr. James Andrews.
Nate Ulrich reports that Richardson will travel to Pensacola, Florida on Thursday to meet with the ligament specialist. While this may simply be a routine check-up — Andrews performed the intiial scope on Richardson’s knee back in February — the recent soreness experienced by the player makes this visit ill-timed.
On Tuesday, Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said that Richardson’s knee was “just a little sore,” and that the missed preseason game would be precautionary. Now, it appears that the Browns have essentially shut down the third-overall draft pick after being relatively mum on all other injuries to this point.
MRI results revealed nothing substantial. Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer reports that, in the event Richardson requires another operation, it would only be of the “clean-up” variety. Cleveland fans and media alike will now be in a holding pattern until more news is released.
