Yes I'd like to see both,at this point Warner is the only QB to help get a Rams SB trophy
I'm with you, major. I'd love to see both as well. However, I doubt if either will come about. First of all, it seems to me that most players who have their numbers retired, are players who have played a lot of years with the same team, and have excelled in most of those years. I don't believe that Kurt played long enough as a Ram to be considered for that huge honor. He will probably not even end up playing the majority of his NFL career with the Rams. There's no doubt that he took our team farther than any other QB for the Rams, but that will pobably not get his number hanging from the rafters. Then again, he has one other factor in his favor: nobody else wants to wear #13 anyway!
As for his return to the Rams, that would only be over Martz's dead body!
No and yes. I think jersey retiring should be reserved for players who were with the team much longer than Kurt Warner, a la my favorite Ram of all-time, Big Jackie. I have always thought I'd take Warner as a backup though if he'd want to finish his career here behind Marc Bulger.
1. No. I think that, to have your jersey retired, you need to be a LONG-TIME Ram. I don't know that I would vote to retire Marshall Faulk's jersey either, though his tenure with the Rams has been longer than Warner's was. As an aside, I would love to see the Rams one day retire number 80 as an honor to both Isaac Bruce and Henry Ellard.
2. No. This is a issue of practicality, not sentiment. I don't think Warner ever wants to join a team if he doesn't think he has the chance of being its starter. Thus, for Warner to rejoin the Rams, something bad would have to happen to Bulger.
Kurt has an important place in Rams' Lore, but his time with the Rams has passed.
1) Personally, I do not feel as though jersey numbers should be retired. I like to see different players wearing the jersey numbers of the great Rams players from the days of yore. *
2) Sure, that would be cool, but it would undoubtedly have to be in a back-up role.
*I do, however, endorse that Kurt Warner's name be put on the stadium ring of honor after his retirement.

Come to think of it does anybody know about number 29.is it retired or does a Ram player I dont know about wear it?I do think the fearsome foursomes numbers should be retired,BUT pretty soon we'd have to have numbers in the triple digits.

Wow, this retired number thing can get confusing.....;)
Rams for sure
1) Clan, at the end of his career, would you like to see his Warner's Jersey retired???
2) Would you like to see Warner retire a Ram at the end of his career?

As mentioned for and against here, the emotional part of some Ramfans -- me included, for sure -- would be a decisive 'YES' in both cases... but, in practical and professional parameters, a realistic "NO" would be more accurate and fair.
To me, suffice it that No. 13 will ALWAYS be associated with the unshaven face of a good man, a classy man of miracles who played five Ram seasons and, of course, who was truly instrumental in getting to, and achieving Victory at SB XXXIV; of his passing records, etc.
Good questions, Major! And see, our sentiments flow from our Ramblood, from our Ramcolors for those whom we followed and admired so in years past.
KW should most definitely be included in our Rams Ring of Fame.
1) I agree with Ferter. I don't think any jersey numbers should be retired. So that'd have to be a "no" on retiring Kurt's #13.
2) Yes, I would enjoy seeing Warner as a Ram when he retires, though the chances of such happening are pretty slim.
I agree with several above. Although he may have been the only one to lead us to a Super Bowl win, his time was too short here for retiring the jersey.
If he decides some time in the future that he would like to be a backup quarterback for us, AND he still can (unlike Chandalier), I would welcome back Kurt with open arms and a verterans contract.
Ring of Honor? No question about it.
