Mon, 14 Aug 2006 05:36:53 -0700
Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports ESPN will announce its broadcast team for the Chargers' Sept. 11 season opener in Oakland. Brad Nessler will handle the play-by-play with Ron Jaworski and Dick Vermeil serving as analysts and Bonnie Bernstein as the sideline reporter. The game will be played at 7:15 p.m. as the second half of a "Monday Night Football" doubleheader.

Re: Vermeil to do Monday Night Football
I thought Theismann was doing the ESPN games? I'm not sure if I will like Jaworski (on air personality wise), but he is knowledgeable especially about QBs so he might be ok. I believe I have heard Brad Nessler do some NBA games and he was decent, as for football we will have to see if he knows his stuff.
If Theismann is really gone, that is a good thing.
Nevermind, I read it wrong it's only for the doubleheader. Theismann is in the booth. :\Last edited by ramsbruce; -08-14-2006 at 08:06 PM.
