Re: Warner could still help us.

I don't think Mok is embarrassing himself at all. He's trying to defend a position that no one seems to want to accept. He made a statistical comparison for "comparison's sake", between two quarterbacks with similar numbers at a certain point in time. He's repeatedly stated that he used Bulger because he's a known quantity to Ram fans. He never made any negative remarks or inferred any animosity toward Bulger or his abilities.

The "vs." part of the discussion was brought in by others, as was the "Warner needs to go to the braodcast booth" and "what did Warner do as a starter to warrant any trust" type of comments. If anyone want's to TELL Mok that he's making a judgement on who's better or that Warner should have never been cut by the Rams, fine, but that's clearly NOT was he was doing in the comparison. Others made that an issue in the thread.

Knowing the atmosphere around here, maybe using Bulger as a comparison was inviting controversy, but that in no way negates the legitimacy of the argument.

Discussion of Warner starting against the Seahawks - Mok brings up Bulger's stats compared to Warner's.

Discussion of the recent treatment of Martz - Mok brings up Warner.

Anyone else see the pattern here?

Thanks r8h8r, I haven't got much response to the actual point I was making so it's nice to know that someone's actually acknowledging it.

No problem Mok. I certainly had no difficulty understanding from what perspective you were coming from.

Re: Warner could still help us.

You want a response to your original point? Fine.

I don't think Warner is "washed up." I do, however, think he is no better than a marginal-average NFL starting QB.

I'm sure, over a two game period, that a lot of marginal-average NFL QBs have stats that are not much worse than a lot of better-than-average NFL QBs. What does that prove...? Nothing other than that two games is not a very good measure of anything.

Now, I've responded to your point.

Your turn to respond to mine. You have an agenda that goes beyond making a simple point.

If you deny that, you're not being honest.

So, can someone tell me how the game was? There was no Fox afternoon game where I live.

and that's as deep as it goes. All the rest is just fantasy on your part.
Your turn to respond to mine.
I don't know what yours is. That I've got some ulterior motive or am purposely being deceitful in some way? I think I've shown on many occasions that I'm not shy about expressing exactly what I mean.
Discussion of the recent treatment of Martz - Mok brings up Warner.
I'm guessing that you're referring to:
His situation is being handled EXACTLY the way he handled it when dealing with players.
Now, please tell me where in that statement or post that I mentioned Warner. He isn't the only player I'm referencing with that point.

Warner fumbled too. I won't bore anyone with actual details of the game.

Mok, you're as transparent as a window, but as thick as a wall.
