Re: Warner in horns again?
In my opinion Kurt is an awesome back-up and he needs to accept that. Selfishly I would love to see him start for someone, just think his starting days are behind him.
Re: Warner in horns again?
Performance dictates that Warner isn't reliable as a full-time starter anymore. Recent performance suggests a wild card that "might" trump the shaky play he's exhibited since 2002. If he were five years younger, some team might take the risk. At 37, no team is going to risk handing him the reigns of a franchise. Warner, for once, is standing pat and rolling the dice on eventually getting a chance with a team that isn't in complete rebuild mode. He's in an ideal situation for his talents and will greatly benefit from his familiarity with the players and system if he ever gets a chance to play. Most recently we can look to Jeff Garcia as an example of "it's not impossible". I wouldn't bet the house on it but if anyone here thought that Garcia had a shot at being a starter in the league after his injury plagued, horrific showing in Cleveland please call me. I have some lottery numbers to ask you about.
