TX , Take it easy bro. You know how we all get when Kurt comes up! If and when Bulger moves us into the Promise land , then things will change. Right to this point he is the only leader to do so!

Re: Warner.....still has it
I guess "errant" may be the wrong word to describe his pass. He didn't outright miss the target he was throwing to, he threw really early because of pressure.
Johnson was the intended receiver but the ball got to the "spot" before he did. It wasn't a jump ball or anything that risky but since the pass was thrown so early, Fitzgerald had the opportunity (no defenders did) to make a circus catch. I think in the normal timing of the play, Fitz would have been a lot more toward the middle of the field. As it was, he was coming out of his break, stopped, reversed direction, dove and scooped the pass up with his fingertips. Truly a great catch.
Last year, I have no doubt that the play would have been a sack. I don't think Warner would have had the faith in an injured (two bad hamstrings!?!) Amani Toomer or Ike Hilliard to make a play on the ball.

Re: Warner.....still has it
Warners toughness was incredible. I beleive the last preseason with the Rams he was 23-25 and looked unstoppable. The pressure of the regular season has been his biggest monkey.I still need to see if he could hold on to the ball when blasted to beleive he is back.
Any ways I hope he comes out and breaks records and puts together a MVP regular season.I really want Warner in the hall. Of course though if they make the playoffs it will be a wild card because the Rams are going 13-3 and winning both games vs the cards. If it takes 3 games they will win that one too.LET'S GO DODGERS

Re: Warner.....still has it
EDIT: Having watched the clip a third time now, I see what you're saying, Mok, in that yes, the ball did get to the spot before Johnson did, and it wasn't a throw behind him as I originally thought. Debating the semantics of whether or not it classifies as on target or off target can be beaten to death. If you look at it from the perspective that eventually Johnson was going to be there, then yes it was on target. But Johnson wasn't there yet, so throwing it in the face of pressure too far ahead of him says to me it wasn't on target. Regardless, those are the kinds of passes that opportunistic defenses will take advantage of.

You've got to admire the passion of Warner fans...
Here's a thread that is debating a single play in an early preseason game, simply because Warner was involved.
Fascinating.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Warner.....still has it
Warner's legend is still alive and well. That fact certainly can't be a surprise to anyone here?
