Running Backs are less than OL/DE/WR/CB & LB's ??? I'm very surprised.

Re: What it cost to use the franchise tag

It doesnt surprise me on the running backs. Running backs are very very dependent on the blocking around them and they tend to deteriorate at a faster rate than most other positions. Very few running backs are effective after they lose that first step in hitting the hole.

I don't know...I just don't see any of our O-Lineman being more valuable than Steven Jackson.

Re: What it cost to use the franchise tag

Keep in mind what the tag price is measuring is the average salary of the top three guys at the position.

By the way, i guess you could make the argument that steven jackson is more valuable than orlando pace, but i am not so sure and i wouldnt want to live without either of them.

Nope,we don't have anyone worth tagging.Curtis is our most important FA but he will definitely not be tagged because you don't pay your 3rd WR $7m.Other than Curtis we only really have role players who are FA's..:l
