what to do you have to say about Chris Johnson falling short of Dickersons record!!!
We may have lost Marshall Faulks season combined yardage record to CJ but at least as a proud Rams fan we still own the record set by Eric Dickerson!! Wish I could have seen him smoking his cigar as CJ can up short!!:D

Hey brother ramfan,
I see by your age, I too am 50 yrs old and I'm totally stoked that ED is still on top and can't think of a better way of celebrating age 50 with ED holding the record. I remember like it was yesterday that signature straight up running style that made you look in awe as he ran thru defensive line like a gazelle. You are right that there is no substitute for the ABSOLUTE!!!!

Yep, Dickerson was flat out the most breathtaking, explosive, exciting runner I've ever seen. Watching him run was like watching a wide open passing attack without the passes. He was simply unbelievable. I hope he keeps the record for a long, long time.

Didn't Dickerson have to do it in less games too?
Sorry, I'm a younger fan. :D

He did it in a 16 game season, but he broke the record in the 15th game.

I totally agree. ED was one of the few backs that you thought could break it for a TD each time he touched the ball. The power combined with speed was simply awe inspiring. I witnessed him in person many a time at the Big A, I too hope he keeps this record for many many years.

Its a record in the NFL that should stick around for a long time, with all the pass happy rules that now apply, you wont see many threatening that record very often. wouldnt be surprised if it holds another 10-15 years. At Least the Rams have something to smile about
